Wamd App Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This policy explains the data Wamd may use, why we use it, and the choices available to you. It applies to the Wamd app on iOS and Android (bundle/package identifier com.wamda.wamda) and the web version at wamdworld.com/play.
Information we collect
Wamd uses data needed to operate and improve the game. This may include your account identifier, chosen player name, email address if you choose Google sign-in or Sign in with Apple on iOS, Google Play Games identifier on Android, game progress, scores and answers, and general technical information about your device or browser and app performance.
How we use information
We use this information to save and sync progress across devices, operate leaderboards and challenges, validate game answers, protect accounts, investigate errors, understand feature usage, and improve gameplay. We do not sell your data.
Third-party services
- Google Firebase: authentication, databases, analytics and crash reporting. Usage and error records may be linked to the player account identifier to diagnose problems and protect progress.
- Sign in with Apple: an account sign-in option on iOS. You can use the private relay email address provided by Apple.
- Google Play Games: on Android, your game account is automatically linked to Play Games to restore progress when you change devices or reinstall.
- Google AdMob: advertising on iOS and Android, including mediation partners such as AppLovin and Unity Ads when used to serve an ad.
- AppsFlyer: in the Android app, we use AppsFlyer to measure the advertising campaigns that bring new players to Wamd. It receives the device advertising identifier, account identifier, and limited events (registration, first game, completed stages, and purchases with their value). It shares these with advertising networks we run campaigns with, such as AppLovin and Meta, to identify which advertisement led to an installation.
- Apple App Attest, DeviceCheck, Google Play Integrity and reCAPTCHA (through Firebase App Check): verifying that requests come from the genuine app or website rather than automated software, to protect accounts and leaderboards.
- App Store (iOS), Google Play (Android) and Stripe (web): processing purchases of coins, ad removal and gameplay packs. We do not access your payment card details. We retain transaction and product identifiers and their association with your player account to verify and deliver purchases, prevent duplicate rewards, and restore eligible purchases.
- Microsoft Clarity: on the web, usage analysis (screens, clicks and scrolling) and anonymous session recordings to improve the experience. This service may use cookies and technical identifiers.
- OpenAI: in Letter Challenge, an answer alone (without your name or account) may be sent for validation if it is not in our dictionary. The verdict is saved for future use.
- Cloudflare: hosting the web version.
These providers handle data according to their own policies and terms.
Advertising
The iOS and Android apps may display ads through Google AdMob and its mediation partners. Advertising providers may use device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud, subject to your available privacy settings. We also advertise Wamd on platforms such as Meta and AppLovin and measure those campaigns through AppsFlyer as described above. You can reset or delete the advertising identifier in Android settings (Google → Ads). The iOS app requests non-personalized ads; device and interaction data may still be used to serve and measure ads and prevent fraud. We do not activate AppsFlyer on iOS. Rewarded ads are optional, and declining notifications does not prevent gameplay. The web version currently does not display ads.
Retention and security
We retain data for as long as needed to provide game features and meet applicable legal requirements. We take appropriate steps to protect it, although no electronic transmission or storage method can guarantee complete security.
Deleting your account and data
Open Wamd, go to your profile and account section, select “Delete account”, and confirm permanent deletion. This deletes your authentication account and cloud player record, including your name, progress, results, points and coins. We may retain limited records where needed to prevent fraud or meet legal obligations, and delete them when that purpose ends. You can also request deletion by contacting us.
Children’s privacy
Wamd is intended for users aged 13 and over and does not knowingly request sensitive personal information from children. Parents or guardians should supervise children’s use of the app and their account and advertising settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when game features or services change. The latest revision date appears at the top of this page.
